Boels Zanders advised on investments LIOF and multiple regional partners in Medace

Luuk Hendriks and Madelène Leurs of the Mergers & Acquisitions Team of Boels Zanders advised LIOF, Maastricht University Holding, Maastricht UMC+, Maastricht Health Campus, Chemelot Research Facility and the Province of Limburg with the investment in Medace, of which LIOF was already a shareholder.

Medace, a unique service provider that brings medical innovations to the patient faster and more efficiently, offers a working environment with a complete ISO-certified quality management system, including clean rooms, equipment, training courses, professionals and office spaces.

With this investment Medace will be able to support around 20 companies and academic development projects at the same time on a new location as of 1 January 2020. Focused on the development of biomedical materials, implants, cell therapy and combination (regenerative medicine) products, the Medace model is unique in and outside the Netherlands.
