Sometimes you have to take a step back to get closer to the solution. In bankruptcy law, Aniek’s specialisation, there is a fine balance between theory and practice, with, on the one hand, complex legal problems and, on the other, communication with clients and third parties. This multi-faceted specialisation energises her.
Aniek likes practical solutions. She likes doing what you say and saying what you do, using easy-to-understand language and respecting people for what they are. She also helps students and young lawyers get started.
Aniek has an extensive corporate law practice focusing mainly on insolvency and restructuring. In her practice, she handles issues including directors’ liability and shareholder disputes. She also supports fellow trustees in settling bankruptcies, and advises troubled companies and their creditors.
Aniek completed a master’s degree in Law at Tilburg University cum laude. She also did voluntary work as a legal advisor at the Rechtswinkel legal advice centre. Aniek has been working at Boels Zanders since 2020. She is a member of the Association of Young Insolvency Law Practitioners (JIRA).
