Jeroen Bakkers specialises in company law and insolvency law, with an emphasis on financing, restructuring and liability issues (including directors’ liability). He also has extensive knowledge of the legal issues in the food & agri sector.

Jeroen advises shareholders and enterprises on financing & securities, restructuring, relaunches and corporate finance transactions. He has extensive experience in litigating cases in the areas of financing & securities and directors’ liability. As a trustee, Jeroen has settled numerous bankruptcies, including Favini paper works, Componenta BV, Scheuten Solar Systems BV et al., Zenith Venray and Burger King Venlo.

In 2003, Jeroen completed the Grotius specialisation course in Insolvency Law, and in 2006 went on to complete the specialisation course in Financial Economics at Erasmus University. He is a member of Insolad, the Dutch Professional Association for Insolvency Attorneys. Jeroen has been with Boels Zanders since 1998, and a partner since 2010.
