Steven Dassen is part of the real estate practice and deals with real estate law in the broadest sense (from claims and their litigation and the full supervision of project development to tendering issues and advising on public-private partnerships).
Steven has a broad educational background and therefore finds it challenging to be able to act at the interface between real estate law and, for example, company law, commercial law, insolvency law or public law.
He studied at the European Law School and Dutch Law at Maastricht University, and subsequently also worked for that institution (as a researcher) and Hasselt University (as a lecturer). In 2018, he successfully completed the specialisation course in private construction law. After several years of working elsewhere in a broader practice, he joined Boels Zanders Advocaten in 2020.
Steven is a member of the Construction Lawyers Association and the Roermond Real Estate Association.
